The crash happened on the morning of Aug. 2 in the 3200 block of North Detroit Avenue, just north of Central. Kaptur was a passenger; her campaign manager, Kegan Zimmerman, 26, was driving. Court filings give the first account of how it is alleged to have happened. This paper carried the crash the morning after it happened and led with it two days later, when the driver was still unidentified: Aug. 3 and Aug. 4. Thirty days of an unnamed driver ended Tuesday.
