The Fulton County Fair opens Friday in Wauseon and runs through Sept. 10 — livestock shows, grandstand concerts, a rodeo, and a great deal that costs nothing once you are through the gate. Two lower bids had been rejected in May against an appraisal of $445,000. New law director Chelsea Cereghin said some of the language is ambiguous and asked for one to two weeks to redraft. Joshua Mast of Ward 3 wanted the zoning ordinance rewritten, Steve Corbitt of Ward 1 wanted the moratorium rewritten, and John Hancock of Ward 2 wanted three full readings before any vote; Mast, Corbitt and Steve Waxler will help write the zoning language. The same day, Archbold Village Council passed an emergency resolution extending its own moratorium six months, to April 2027. That one dates from April 6 and covers high-intensity industrial and infrastructure-dependent uses generally.
